Questions

All 3 play an important role in the world of marketing and advertising. Without any of them - it would be hard to sell anything.

But...there are some differences. Ad Agencies and Marketing Firms are typically bigger, handle more complex/on-going projects, and definitely have a higher overhead cost than I do. Which means - their rates are going to be higher.

ohplusalso - they usually want you to provide your own copy....or outsource it to a specialist like me (taking a percentage of my fee for themselves)

With that being said...do the thing that works for you. If you need copy-driven projects - then I will save you money.

Quite simply - You MUST provide the information prospects, customers and others need to make their purchasing decision. You NEED to do it in an emotionally compelling way. If not you - then your competitor will be hitting their financial goals.

But the format of copy - is going to be dependent on your situation, your goals, your needs. Our exploration call will be able to determine what direction your journey may need to take.

That depends on the message you are trying to get across. Ideally - web pages range from 200-350 words, but can be more if they are in easy-to-read blocks of text. Blog posts are typically longer depending on the topic.

With that being said, copy will be as long as copy needs to be - as long as it is strong, clear, concise.

Of course! One of my forte's is proofreading and editing. How much needs to be edited will depend on how strong the foundation is.

We might find ourselves excavating the strengths from the current copy and exploring your brain to see what else we can bring to enhance or update your copy.

If your copy does not need any changes - I will let you know, for free.

More Questions

Yep. I have a 2 prong approach to understanding your voice.

  1. I will be actively listening to all correspondence we have. From e-mails to phone calls and everything in between (whatever everything looks like to that project...)
  2. I will also need to experience your company as a consumer would so that I can view your voice from both sides of the story.

Different projects require different tones. I can seamlessly adapt to whatever the project requires.

But my forte - is conversational, inspirational, persuading storytelling. I enjoy writing to an audience as if I was having a real life conversation. My inner voice loves to play the different roles as I am thinking of what to write next.

An exploration call will happen after our initial conversation. I will ask you a lot of questions that will bring it all together, and actively listening to see how, where, why you shine. We will discuss your successes, your struggles, your worries, your problem areas, your ideas, your goals, your dreams, and your story.

Basically, I will obtain from you as much information as I can get. The moment you reach out to me - I put my brainstorming hat on to see what solutions might work for your company based on your needs.

After our exploration call - my research hat replaces my brainstorming hat, and I get to work.

>I write a 0 draft - basically where I put all my notes in some sort of coherent manner.
>I take a hypothetical nap and write the first draft. I send you the 1st draft and once you provide feedback - I will make revisions and continue to my 2nd draft.
> After my 2nd draft, I will edit, and make a 3rd and final draft.
> After my 3rd draft - I will hypothetically sleep on it. And then send it off.

2 revisions are included with each project - free of charge. The feedback after the 1st draft is not one of the revisions.

Once you are 100% satisfied - I will send you a gentle reminder of the final payment(s) that we discussed in the accepted proposal.

And then we do it again!

I believe in meeting my clients wherever they are, and helping them along the journey to wherever they want to go. So I write all types of copy. You can see my services here. And if you need something I didn't list - let me know and we will see what we can brainstorm together.

You betcha. If you need something I don't know how to do - I am not known for backing down from a challenge.

And I know I can create copy for anything because I have a tested process -  I research and research more. I research until I start dreaming about your product or service. And then I research some more.

Part of my research - is going to be testing/trying/using your products/services to get the full sensory experience.

You are not selling to robots. Your are selling to people with real lives. Your audience isn't stupid. They want to be listened to, feel like someone finally understands them. I will make them feel a connection that they didn't realize was missing.

I consider myself a B2C2B Copywriter. I write for consumers to act and companies to listen. And Vice Versa.

The world of business is tied together. So for me, it doesn't make sense to choose one over the other.

However - that doesn't mean I say YES! to every project. After our exploration call - if I know I would not be a good fit for the project - I will let you know.

I have a B.S. in Psychology and an MBA. I am able to look at the consumer side of the equation as well as the business side. I can look at multiple sides of the story to see what is working, and what isn't.

I can visualize the big picture, think through the possible "what if's", and then break those down into the finer details, wrapping it all up in a creative story that will leave an impact on your readers.

I put people first, and because I believe in people first - I write inspirationally persuading copy that is designed to compel people to take action.

With that being said - I am not everyone's flavor of bold. So I may not be the right writer for you. And that is OK. No hard feelings. But promise me one thing. Promise me that you are going to find the writer that inspires you to dig deeper, to look from outside of the box.

Bonus Questions

Yes. You can provide those documents and I will sign them after reading them over.

I may have bold ideas, but I have a strong set of core values that would never allow me to intentionally do any harm to your business or compromise our relationship.

Unless we agree upon otherwise - you will own the copyright to any copy I was hired to provide. All stories are custom to your specific job.

Feel free to use it any way you would like (as long as it is not in a hateful or discriminatory manner). You can reuse my content for other company needs so you can attain as much benefit as possible...and also leverage your investments by re-purposing!

(what...I make more money if you make more money. I get to experience more if you make more money.....)

Product Reviews: Yes. If you have a Real Life product that makes Real Life easier, happier, healthier, more motivating, more colorful - whatever it is - I will review your product and share a Real Life - HONEST - review.

An Experience Review is I am able to experience the same FULL experience that your average customer would experience.

Think of it as "secret shopper" research. But NOT. Its more like a "Pay It Forward Secret Shopper" research. By experiencing what your customers experience - I am able to write more effective copy directed at your specific target. The more personal a story is - the more likely it is to elicit the action you need your reader to make.

Let's Connect to see how I can add this extra layer of personalization to your story.

Yes.

> Commit to a long-term package (3mo, 6mo, 12mo terms)
> Pay in full
> Referrals

Wonderful! I look forward to connecting with you. Please fill out that connect form and send me a message. I will get back to you within 48 business to schedule our First Exploration Call!

This is a laid back call where we have awkward small talk and then immediately dive in to the nitty gritty details. We will banter back and forth, comparing and contrasting our personalities. And then as the conversation closes - we will summarize the project.

At this point - if we didn't vibe or if you decide I would not be a good fit for your needs - then we part here. No hurt feelings.

But if I feel like we vibed positively - then I will let you know when to expect the proposal & quote.

And if you feel like we vibed positively - then you will accept the quote. You will the 50% reservation fee. And I will get to work.

Detail Questions

No 2 journeys are similar. And no 2 projects are similar.

Each quote will be customized based on the discoveries in our exploration call. A lot of factors go in to a quote - such as complexity, research, deadline, and my low overhead costs.

No 2 journeys are the same which means no 2 projects are the same. The quote you receive will have the number of hours I will need to complete your project, but it will be based on the overall project - not just the hours worked.

The hours worked doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. What matters - is that you are paying for copy that is going to generate leads/sales/conversions/clicks/results, etc.

You want copy that generates sales. You do not want sloppy work - that would be a waste of everyone's time. You are hiring a copywriter to save you energy, frustration, anger because you are struggling with how to increase revenue.

You are not paying me to sit at a desk all day and just churn out words. You are paying me to understand your product and customers so that you will get high quality, professional copy - that makes you money.

I base quotes on the value I bring to your table.

Bonus: I offer customized packages. Need a bunch of copy? Let's work out a deal!

I require a 50% deposit up front for most copywriting projects. The balance is due upon project completion. After we’ve completed our first few projects together, we can discuss credit terms.

I accept:

> Company checks
> Electronic payments through PayPal (If you don’t have a PayPal account, you can still pay through PayPal using a Visa or MasterCard credit card. Please be aware that PayPal charges a fee of approximately 3%).
> Wire Transfers from your bank to mine (whether your bank is within the U.S. or outside the U.S. Please ask for details on the bank fees and process).

After our exploration call, withing 48 business hours - I will send you a quote and timeline with a firm completion date.

If you have a hard deadline to meet - please let me know immediately. Depending on my current schedule - the actual start date may not be immediately (we will discuss this further during our Exploration Call)

I will start your project AFTER you accept the terms & AFTER I receive the 50% Non-Refundable Deposit. No work will be started until those 2 requirements are met.

Additionally, depending on my current schedule - the actual start date may not be immediately (we will discuss this further during our Exploration Call)

The Turnaround time will depend on the size & complexity of the project proposed.

Yes. A contact must be signed once the project proposal has been accepted. This agreement protects us both and ensures that we are on the same page.

Journey Questions

Both. Hand-in-hand. It depends. Yes.

I am being purposefully vague because it really, truly, depends on the scope of the project, the parameters, the delivery method, the message...etc.

But based on my process - design and copy happen concurrently because they are not typically mutually exclusive.

This project parameter will be discussed during our exploration call and a quote will reflect what formats are necessary.

Then you will tell me. I will actively listen. And then I will go back to start the 2nd draft.

I actually expect you to not like the first draft. I want you to hold me accountable. But really - the first draft is a first draft for a reason.

Your feedback helps us calibrate our compasses so that we both know that we are on the right path....the same path.

I am prepared for a project that evolves in terms of messaging/type of story being told.

I am prepared because that is how I approach writing in general. I always set my mind to one course, and it very often never ends at the predicted destination. Because it was just that - a prediction.

I know that life happens. I know that things change. Nothing is ever boring around my household. But if a project grows drastically in terms of length, format, depth - we will need to revisit the proposal and adjust the quote as needed.

I am willing to work WITH you. But I am NOT willing to work FOR you. I expect you to meet me at least halfway.

Yes. I would love to learn more about your long-term project. Let's see if we can work out a deal.

But be forewarned. If you become a long-term client - the process is going to be hassle free. You will just send me the assignment with little direction because I already know your company and you already know that I am going to get the job done right.

YES YES YES! Don't let borders separate us.

The internet is a magical thing. And 2020 has made us all a little more tech savvy - whether you want to admit it or not.

So we can connect over phone, skype, zoom, google hangout (or whatever it is called these days).

I have a set of strong values that keep me going North. I am extremely loyal to my clients and would never intentionally do anything to harm them or their business by working with a direct competitor.

If a conflict of interest situation were to occur - such as a competitor of one of my current clients reaching out to me - I would not hesitate to direct them to one of the many other talented copywriters I know.

Yes. You can provide those documents and I will sign them after reading them over.

I may have bold ideas, but I have a strong set of core values that would never allow me to intentionally do any harm to your business or compromise our relationship.
